Use Wisely!!

Forms are very useful and save lots of time but can't be used to avoid thinking or actual work

  • Look at them as a great place to start
    • You might want to look at multiple forms to get ideas
    • Make sure your form complies with the specific law of your jurisdiction (a California lease might not be appropriate for Arizona)
    • Make sure you have confidence in the creator of the form

  • Be sure your form is not out of date
    • Has a court rule changed a required format?
    • Has the substantive area of the law changed?
    • Remember that using the wrong form could results in losing your client money, losing a case, and malpractice…
